This place is beautiful and they treat you like family! The night manager is super helpful and full of great information on the area! The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean right from your room! Perfect for looking at the sunrise!

Stunningly beautiful What a gorgeous place. The staff were so friendly and kind. The breakfast was lovely with some nice touches with a fruit starter. I would definetly stay again. The views from my room were breathtaking. This place was great value for money.

Rude horrible management This was probably the worst guesthouse experience I have ever had. Absolute lack of service and lack of respect. There was an issue with the TV in our room and Elsa was not at all useful when i asked for assistance. She refused for me to change rooms although we where the only guests there. Instead she sent a message to my husband saying to let me know that there is more to life than watching TV! Insane behavior. When i asked for later check out so we could have a little more time she told me not to interfere with her business and accused me of throwing stones because I complained. She was rude and disrespectful she made my 10 year old daughter and i feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Safe to say i did not check out early, I packed and left with my daughter as soon as possible. I would not recommend this guesthouse to any one and it is a real pity as the location and rooms are beautiful but Elsa made my brief stay a horrible experience and this needs to be addressed.

I have been fortunate to have stayed at Whale View Manor before and have never been disappointed with the variety of marine life, which can be seen from the sea-facing veranda and the rooms. In the peak of the whale season, I have seen several whales directly in front of the Manor. While on my most recent stay, I was fortunate to see several hundreds of dolphins close to shore. The rooms are amazing as they are very comfortable and face directly east and one can sip a cup of coffee in bed while watching the sunrise over False Bay. It is a great location for an early morning run or bike ride. Should cycling be your thing Whale View Manor is located on route with the Cape Cycle Routes, Cycle Tour 364. They provide a good breakfast, a perfect way to start of your days adventure. It's close to Cape Point National Park, Boulder Penguin Colony, and several other attractions, making it a perfect base for staging your day trips around the Cape Peninsula.
